Trail Marks

Trail marks are coded instructions left by the Hare to guide the hounds on their pursuit of the hare's true trail.  A well designed trail will have a variety of marks that will slow down the fastest runners, thereby keeping the pack together.

Each Trail Mark has a secret meaning.

Trail marks lead through mysterious and exciting places where you wouldn't normally run, and through bars, of course.  A good trail keeps the pack together, by offering puzzles (false trails) and places to rest (checks), along the way.  The idea is that the fastest runners will be foiled, allowing the slowest runners to catch up.

Faster runners  (aka Front Running Bastards) should signal to the slower hounds by using a whistle, horn, or by calling out.
